Arum’s final offer rejected by Floyd camp

After American promoter Bob Arum’s”final counter offer” was quickly turned down by Mayweather’s chief adviser, Leonard Ellerbe, and negotiator, Richard Schaefer, anticipation of recovering the megafight between Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather Jr. are slim.

Arum, which is the main man of Top Rank, had given the Mayweather camp until yesterday to decide on his final proposal regarding the blood tests issue, that both parties let the Nevada State Athletic Commission to make the final decision. Pacquiao’s camp has agreed to three blood tests but was again unacceptable to Mayweather.

Pacquiao vs Floyd Mayweather in Las Vegas

It’s always been Vegas, where it didn’t come as a surprise that the megafight will take place.  There is no other place to hold it that Vegas, that’s where the money is. And definitely it will be in the MGM Grand. The choice was based on both fighters’ familiarity with the location and also on their past success there.

Pacquiao has fought six times at the MGM Grand, winning four (against Lehlo Ledwaba, Oscar dela Hoya, Ricky Hatton and Miguel Cotto), losing once to Erik Morales and drawing once with Juan Manuel Marquez. Mayweather, on the other hand, has fought six times at the MGM during his unbeaten run of 40 fights. His wins at MGM came against Gregorio Vargas, Diego Corrales, Jose Luis Castillo, Dela Hoya, Hatton and Marquez.

Gina Alajar was thanked by Jinkee Pacquiao

Jinkee thanked director-actress Gina Alajar for her advice on Facebook regarding the rumored affair of his husband, Manny Pacquiao and Krista Ranillo. But Jinkee said that the allegations about Manny and Krista were not true. It was all misinterpretations.

She also denies the rumor that she bribed Krista with Five Million Pesos just to stay away from Manny. She quipped that she is not begging for love. If that’s true Krista would be a lucky millionaire now.

Top Rank Boss Bob Arum; in the Philippines

Bob Arum, who is a Top Rank boss, is currently in the Philippines. He will be talking to seven-time world boxing champ Manny Pacquiao into sealing the deal for the much-awaited fight with former pound-for-pound king Floyd Mayweather Jr.

”I’m obviously over here to talk to Manny,” Arum told LAtimes.com. “At this point, I’ve got to find out what my fighter wants to do.” similar to what happened during the negotiations for the Pacquiao fight against British champ Ricky Hatton last May, Arum wanted to avoid “complications”.

Arum flew to the Philippines to personally meet with Pacquiao and his advisors.
