Due to Rossana Roces’ statements which involved our National Hero, Jose Rizal and our teachers the subject show was suspended by MTRCB for 20 days.

The show features different groups from different places in our country. The controversial statement was given after the performance of a group from Calamba, the town where Jose Rizal was born. Osang’s point is that how come Jose Rizal’s Name is Jose Protacio Rizal since his father’s name is Francisco Mercado and his mother is Teodora Alonzo and why her teacher wasn’t able to answer her question.She even told that contestants that we “mura” her teacher before.

For a meantime, as the suspension is running showtime is replaced by “Magpasikat ka”,  I believe the new show’s format is the same as showtime.
