After American promoter Bob Arum’s”final counter offer” was quickly turned down by Mayweather’s chief adviser, Leonard Ellerbe, and negotiator, Richard Schaefer, anticipation of recovering the megafight between Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather Jr. are slim.

Arum, which is the main man of Top Rank, had given the Mayweather camp until yesterday to decide on his final proposal regarding the blood tests issue, that both parties let the Nevada State Athletic Commission to make the final decision. Pacquiao’s camp has agreed to three blood tests but was again unacceptable to Mayweather.

Pacquiao has fought six times at the MGM Grand, winning four (against Lehlo Ledwaba, Oscar dela Hoya, Ricky Hatton and Miguel Cotto), losing once to Erik Morales and drawing once with Juan Manuel Marquez. Mayweather, on the other hand, has fought six times at the MGM during his unbeaten run of 40 fights. His wins at MGM came against Gregorio Vargas, Diego Corrales, Jose Luis Castillo, Dela Hoya, Hatton and Marquez.

Top Rank Promotions head honcho Bob Arum revealed that he and Mayweather’s representative, Golden Boy Promotions CEO Richard Schaefer, found a way to swiftly agree on money matters.

“You know whatever you say, whatever I say, it’s gonna end up 50-50. Let’s agree on that… So it was done in 5 minutes,” added Arum, who arrived in Manila on Thursday to seal the deal with Pacquiao.

Although there is no official fight just yet, Pacquiao agrees to fight Mayweather if all conditions and negotiations are met. Pacquiao instructed Arum to iron out all details in order for both boxers to finally seal the deal.

In their race-to-nine match against Koreans Charlie Williams and Eun Ji Park, Reyes and Amit posted a 9-7 win. They received $6,000 top prize, the Koreans settled for second place and a $3,000 check. Unless Bob Arum offers him biggest fight that Pacman wants, Pacquiao is no longer inclined to fight in March or May as earlier expected.
