23-year-old Kaiane Aldorino became the 59th Miss World during the coronation night which was held on December 12, 2009 at the Gallagher Convention Centre in Johannesburg, South Africa.
It’s nice to see the same country passes over the crown as the new Miss Universe.
Venezuela’s Stefania Fernandez was crowned Miss Universe 2009 in the recently concluded pageant in the Bahamas, making history as it is Venezuela’s second consecutive win. Miss Universe 2008 Dayana Mendoza was also from Venezuela.

It’s that time of the year… Nope not Christmas but the annual Miss Universe! When I was young, Ms. Universe was very famous. I don’t know if it’s just me, but I don’t think its not that famous anymore amongst Filipino.
About 80 candidates will come together in the Bahamas to compete for the title of Miss Universe 2009.
The coronation ceremony will be hosted by Billy Bush and Claudia Jordan. 23-year-old model and flight stewardess Pamela Bianca Manalo, representing the Philippines is vying for the said title. For the third consecutive year, ABS-CBN will air the pageant live on August 24 at 9:30AM. Replays will be aired on Studio 23 on August 25 at 8PM and on ABS-CBN on August 27 at 10PM.
