Yes! Magazines Celebrates it’s 10th year

most of us considered reading as a hobby and many Pinoys considered showbiz magazines as one of their favorites. One of the best seller showbiz magazine in our country is Yes! Magazines.  Yes! magazines offers a monthly issue, few talked about issues are those that features hot celebrities such as Jinkee and Manny Pacquia, Marian Rivera, Dingdong Dantes etc… They also had special featured issues such as the  Eat Bulaga, Cory Aquino and even the first Christmas of Aquino family without their Mom.

This year the popular mag celebrates their 10th year and host a party where plenty of stars attended. One of those are the Gutierrez family. For those who did know the mag’s editor, Jo anne Maglipon and the Gutierrezes had a “not so good” argument or legal battle a few months ago. this is for an article post at Pep.ph, a website that Maglipon was also the editor, involving Richard Gutierrez pointing a gun to another actor, Michael Flores. But the case was settle, out of court.

That is not only the legal battle that Maglipon had experience, if we you remember, Claudine Barretto file a case against the editor involving Sabina, her adopted daughter.

Juday to Jamby

As we all know, the campaign for national position had started and most of the candidates have stars or celebrity endorsers, Let’s look at Manny Villar for example, he had Willie Revillame, Dolphy and Michael V as endorsers. Does the Stars really had a big role in today’s political system?

Jamby Madrigal had a commented on this matter, that she had regretted hiring a star to endorsed her. Is she being “ungreatful” to Judy ann Santos-Agoncillo? For those who can’t recall Jamby run for senator last 2004 and lost and she once again run for the said position last election and won. during the last election she had Juday as her endorser.

As for Juday’s side she just had this statement, “Kahit naman siguro papano, I was able to convince four or five people to vote for her in every province.”

It was still ourselves who are we going to vote, with celebrity or none.

Celebrity endorses should take leave

According to Commission on Election or COMELEC, celebrities endorsing politicians or those who are running for a government position should take a leaver of absence from their work or shows while joining the campaign, where the start of the campaign for the national candidates started last February 9 and will last until May 8, two days before the election. While for the local candidates, campaign starts on March 26.
Republic Act 9006 or the Fair Elections Act clearly prohibits actors from making anymore appearances once they endorse or volunteer for a candidate during the campaign period according to Ferdinand Rafanan of the Comelec Law Department.

Section 6.6 of the law reads: “Any mass media columnist, commentator, announcer, reporter, on-air correspondent or personality who is a candidate for any elective public office or is a campaign volunteer for or employed or retained in any capacity by any candidate or political party shall be deemed resigned, if so required by [his] employer, or shall take a leave of absence from his/her work as such during the campaign period.”

ZsaZsa padilla clarifies on the walk out issue

The issue between Zsazsa’s daughter Karylle and Dingdong Dantes was years ago… We all know that the two become a couple when they are both working in GMA-7. Karylle moved to ABS-CBN few months ago or a year (?).

Issue on Zsazsa’ “walk out” incident when asked about her daughters ex-beau was a misunderstanding according to her. Also according to her the issue between the two was way back and it was already 2010 and let’s moved on. She also said that the break up between the two ex-lovers was a “close book” and her daugther had moved on beautifully.

Karylle was Zsazsa’s daughter to former partner, a doctor whose surname is Tatlonghari. She started her career at GMA-7 though her mom was in the rival station. She even belonged to a show that was a rival of her mom’s show, same type and same time and day. And after a few months after their break up karylle “over the bakod” to ABS-CBN, and been stared is some good quality shows.
