Krista’s manager said she is not pregnant

Arnold Vegafria, Krista’s manager, voided rumors that his controversial talent is not pregnant. The rumor of pregnancy started from a tabloid columnist Ambet Nabus. Before she flew to the U.S. she had a medical check-up in an undisclosed hospital in Cebu last December 26, 2009.

Her manager defended her quickly for denial on the said rumor. Krista said she will spend the holidays in the U.S. as she always does with the rest of her family members who are based there. Also as to help out in the family’s new business that is a restaurant.

Yoko Ono donates P2.5M to ‘Ondoy’ victims

Yoko Ono, has donated ¥5 million or P2.5 million for the thousands of Ondoy victims that hit the Philippines September last year which killed 464 people. Many were left homeless by this flood.

She pledged the donation personally when she last visited the Philippine Embassy before Christmas in Fujimi. She said she sympathizes with the Filipinos especially the children. She also said that Fujimi residence is very close to her heart and she considers it her home sweet home in Japan.

Both actresses Cristine Reyes and Heart Evangelista wary about the issues on them and had seems to be in good terms this New Year ahead. It seems that they have buried the hatchet in time for this year as well.

Observers noted that during the 2009 Metro Manila Film Festival Awards night at the SMX Center, Cristine and Heart reportedly avoided each other. But each of them had their friendly explanation which proves that the past is already past and there is nothing to talk about between them especially on their rivalry between the Actor Dennis Trillo.

Hezi Dayan, 29, and an Israeli illusionist has broken magician David Blaine’s record from being sealed inside a specially constructed transparent ice cube in Tel Aviv’s Rabin Square. From Blaine’s 63 hours had himself entombed in ice for 66 hours. It is almost three days.

Mayon Volcano’s alert level lowered to 3

The Albay provincial government ordered that the 7,000 families from at least 20 evacuation center to be brought back by military and police personnel to their homes inside the 7-8 kilometer extended danger zones of Mayon volcano after the government volcanologists lowered the alert level from 4 to 3.

It is because of 3 reasons such as no ash ejections were observed since December 29, rockfalls and rolling down of fragments from the lava deposits along Bonga gully and the advancing lava front are the majority of the type of earthquakes that were recorded during the past days and from a maximum of 8,993 tons per day, measured SO2 levels have also showed a decreasing trend to 2,621 tons per day.

Mayon continues to spew 2-kilometer ash columns

 

Mayon Volcano is continuing to spew ash columns as high as 2 kilometers from its crater summit, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said yesterday. In their bulletin as of 7 a.m. had a total of 9 ash explosions observed for the past 24 hours and total of 38 volcanic earthquakes were also recorded.

The volcano’s seismic activity remained at “high level”. The bulletin added that the Phivolcs recorded 171 rock fall measures related to the detachment of lava fragments from the volcano’s upper angle.
