Who will be chosen from among the 20 contenders from the Philippines and 8 contenders from various locations worldwide?
Will it include the shy but enchanting Fil-Japanese girl? Or the feisty Manila girls block her way? Can the the morena stunner from Cebu make the cut? Could the guy from Bacolod carry the flag for the regional delegates?

Proving again that the Filipino can, an educator from Cavite received the CNN Hero of the Year award today, November 22 [November 21 in the United States], in a star-studded gala event taped at the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood, California.
Efren Peñaflorida, who started Dynamic Teen Company, a “pushcart classroom” in Cavite City that aims to bring education to poor unschooled children, won the award after garnering the most Internet votes in a seven-week poll open to the world public. More than 2.75 million votes were cast.

On Monday morning, the 23rd of November, unarmed civilians were onboard six vehicles making their way to Shariff Aguak in Maguindanao. The group—composed of women, lawyers, and journalists—were supposed to witness the filing of candidacy in behalf of an aspiring governor at the local Commission on Elections (Comelec) office.
They never reached their destination alive.

Controversial actress Krista Ranillo who recently made it to the headlines for her alleged involvement with boxing superstar Manny Pacquiao, was chosen as the 2010 Calender Girl of Ginebra San Miguel.
She will reportedly appear in 12 full-page spreads wearing different bikinis representing each month of 2010. This, Krista believes will further boost her career. Previous celebrities who were chosen by Ginebra as calendar girls in the past include Marian Rivera, Angelica Panganiban, Rufa Mae Quinto, Rica Peralejo and Iwa Moto.
